The wife and I were headed up to Vancouver for the weekend and what a good excuse to drop off a gold book at Johns house and visit.
We unfortunately caught John and his lovely wife working in the yard and they decided it was a good time for a quick break Actually, they were very nice to stop for a while and chat with us. Of course as soon as John said "Let me show you something in my shop", my wife said to Lynn "We won't see those guys in a few days". We had a great visit, I saw Big Top before scratching (beautiful van) and we decided we should get together for some airbrush & brush practice on a regular basis instead of just saying boo every couple of years.
John, I did take a few pictures of your gold work for COACH and will send them to you. It was difficult to photograph because of the reflections in the glass and the windows were dirty but we'll see what I got (later as I haven't downloaded the camera yet). I wish they had you do those on the front doors instead of the side/corner windows.
Again thanks for having us in for a short visit. Looking forward to the next

Hope you enjoyed your trip up here to our wonderful country. It was really quite a surprise when I called John and heard you were in town for a quick visit, cuz I had just left you a message a few minutes before, and hoping you were taking good care of my gold book that I left at your place when I visited some time ago. I was even more delighted to hear that you brought it and left it with John. Much closer and easier for me to get it back now.
I racked John's brain about an upcoming surface gild I was going to be doing, as well as a delightful call to letterheadsignsupply.com to answer a few question I had. Did some tests, and now I'm ready to make a fine mess with the paying project! ha ha
Hope you've been keeping well, and I will try to get by your place again sometime to see just what you've been doing.
