I priced this for a would be customer that I know gets a lot of vinyl work done.

(50) 1"x12" vinyl decals in silver intermediate
$1.75 each

(30)1.5"x18" same as above
$2.18 each

(10)3.5"x44" same as above
$16.00 each

The graphic is simple, one word in a plain type and another in a brush. Supplied to him "ready to apply".

I would really like to have the continued business that he could theoretically provide.
However he balked at these prices as if they were off the scale. I thought I was coming in real low.

Maybe he is just using a tactic to get my price down and maybe not, I dunno.

I would appreciate opinions on what these prices should be.

Thanks,

Steve

plotter cut vinyl. I put a box (weed border) around each. when they're masked I cut through the mask and the backing so that I have a rectangular backed and masked decal, it adds a little more work but makes 'em look professional and makes it easier to apply.

Hiya Steve,
I think your prices are fair also, however, it depends on your competition. I know that there are shops that will do this for a lot less than the $300+ you quoted.
A ballpark price from my former employer would have been in the $200 range based on material cost of about $50 and labor that they would pay $7-8 an hour. The whole job would take about 3 hours to complete - you do the math.
If you're not comfortable with your pricing, take Bob's advice and download estimate. It's a very good program. Once you set it up, it will tell you how much you need to charge on a job like this and still make the profit you need to live.

Havin' fun,

Checkers
