I carved and painted and used a bit of Magic Sculpt on the sunflowers (made extra for samples), then created a distressed panel. Automotive clear coat for protection.

That Letterville is how it is done. This is the type of project that demands some recognition. Joy experimented, trying new techniques, pleasing a client far beyond a reasonable expectation and what was actually paid. Join me in giving her some love. Step up and check in on the portfolio section more often. Makes zero sense to pine for a forums past then not do your part to encourage. Well done Buddy, well done.

Sign has a great feel to it...the asymmetrical layout on the petals was a great idea...also I like the deep colors you used.
Michael...if you've not used Magic Sculpt before you'll love the versitility...it's like sclupting with a stiff clay that is workable for 30 or 40 minutes...carving limits you to subtracting...with this stuff you can both add and subtract.

Thank you guys for the positive input. Dan I made those extra flowers along with an extra panel, when a little voice reminded me "you can't sell what you want to create if the customers don't have any idea what you're talking about, they need to SEE it". That's my paraphrase of your gentle reminder to us to create samples!
