Here's a metal sign i recently did for a small movie. it's approx. 32" x 48", .o25 alum. All latex, punched b/holes, overlay panel, crackle stuff under blue panel. Fun stuff to do, i like them more than "New" signs! )

Hey, thanks for the comments! even tho it's not my design, it's all about the aging, (not US!, the signs...) I love to see the different TV/Movie stuff some post here.
Terry, i'm pretty sure a lot of pieces end up in somebodys rec room, yard, workshop wall, i know i've picked up some over the years that wern't my work. But an awful lot of stuff, scenic stuff, goes to the landfill! Last week, i visited a huge set(outdoor) for The Watchman, a BIG SHOW, 4 blocks of old New York City, just incredible signs, stores, etc. Watch for next year.

Nice work John, sure a shame some of this art is lost to landfills, but then if we kept it all, the world would be full of faux, used up signs about no one or anything, just a story board somewhere...jus' museing.

Most of productions have a kind of half price sell-off at the end of shows.
Then some places here in Mtl. has a sort of recuperation/recycle service for decors, props, accessories and costumes they gather whatever is not sold or kept by the production the items are stored and rented to other shows when appropriate.

That's right, John, while Ponce de León was looking for the "Anti Aging Well", I've only managed to find the "Aging Well".
Seven years ago, I was visiting someone who's known me since I was nine years old. She asked me how old I was. When I told her I was forty eight, she responded: "Forty eight!!! When did that happen???" I replied: "I've been asking the same question myself."
