the client could not gather all of his trucks for a photo shoot, being the problem solver that we all must be, suggested that he take 2 trucks to a certain location and shoot a "3/4 shot" with his digital camera.
he e-mailed me the photo and i did some stuff in photoshop.

Hey Mark! Looks great... What about that little bit in the top left hand corner though? It looks a little out of place, the bevel edge doesn't show very well.... But yeah, it looks really good From Kookaburra/Katie
Not muck difference from your own.... just got a little more contrast between the edge and the images... And I noticed that there was no bevel highlingt on the bottom right hand corner, so I didn't put any in the upper left hand corner eiter, to keep it even Ah well... I'll never be a great designer, but hey I can try!

One improvement that can be done is to zoom in on the tire rims and change them a little. The holes in them are lined up too perfect. And make some of the truck just a shade darker by using a mask and the airbrush tool set on very light coverge.
The more they look the same the more it looks fake. If people pick up on the "fake" it might turn around and bite your customer in the butt, sort of like they are being lied to. (Just a thought, I worry about that stuff all the time...I hate those thoughts!)
I think its very neat, great problem solving and use of your photo paint skills. Excellent work!

Thanks Mark.... Am getting there... currently trying to work out what to do for my art assignment... (school starts in another week or so) major artwork, counts for the majority of my art mark this year.... Trying to be a "great designer" for that.... Getting a few ideas running... Let's see how I go! The idea of a little shading would be good too.... Just to make it look a little more realistic as suggested
