With help on the final stage here from Sal Cabrera and Rapid I think this panel turned out pretty good. What do you think? (Rapid- I still need the white on the flames and maybe a little more detail in the eye)

So that's what I look like on a Sunday morning before coffee...
It's getting tighter every step, Kelsey. One thing to think about is emphasis. Where do you want the focus to be on the design...the eyes, the finger, the nose...that's where the greatest detail should be.
Remember what I said about taking a little candy orange to it. It pushes the flames back a bit and gives a little more depth to them. Don't be afraid to experiment a little with them. You can always come back with the yellows/white edges to redefine them a bit.
Be sure to post more of this as you go along. Great step by step.
Onward! Rapid

I might take you up on that one Jake. Let me add a little more detail, get some better pics, and enjoy it for a bit and maybe we can trade or something.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I'm still working hard at it. The next piece will be better, and the one after that even better, and the one after that even better. What I'm saying is.......I'm having a blast with this and am getting better every time I use my airbrush.
Stay tuned for the next piece I'm working on... a cool tiger panel for my daughter.
