Well we installed the Bitulithic Sign tonight. While not your normal farm sign, the clients are extremely pleased with it. And that pleases me. I was concerned that it was too fancy for the setting, but now that it is up it seems to work OK. The pics were taken at dusk, I'm going to have to go back and take more some day when the morning sun hits that gold.

It works indeed Kel. The rock solid panel is perfect and the gold leaf...what a kicker! Tell us more about the stone structure, the sign materials and fabrication techniques. Hope you have a great time defacing the sidewalks of Moose Jaw.

Love the weathered wood "rock solid ranch" panel incorporated into the sign. Really gives it a ranch flavor. Also interesting Color choice in the Bitulithic. I wouldn't have dreamed those colors would have worked in layout but it Pops of the backround nicely and the hugh in the ranch panel pulls it back in.
Nice panel Kelly

Great piece Kelly! It works with the stone support structure. I'm with Jill on the top scrolls.

Nice job,but the color on Bitulithic just doesnt seem to fit. Maybe a tan or beige or something to tie in with the rest of the sign. I know this is after the fact, but just a thought.

Thanks for the nice words. The colour for the word Bitulithic actually ties in to the farm buidings in the background. My original choice was less turquoise, but after scoping out the grounds I realized it was too close to the farm buildings, but not close enough. The wood panel is supposed to represent a railroad tie. The farm was once a railway siding that hauled crushed rock which was named Bitulithic. Hence the stone panel. Sometimes I like to tie things in like that without actually using a pictoral, especially in this case where we are dealing with two entirely different concepts (stone crushing and ranching). It really pops in low light which I was pleased with. I knew it worked during the day, but sometimes things can be hard to read at dusk. Yeah, there are a couple of things I'd like to change, but too late.

Sorry Linnie, a power outage knocked my web site server down. Now he can't get it to boot. I reloaded the pics on the Letterville Album.
