wow, i'm actually surprized that worked! I was just trying something different. well this is the paint job i did on my ute a couple weekends ago. its all HOK pearls blended from light blue-mid blue-voilet-passion pearl, and the yellow - orange is also pearls. I still need to do the airbrushed pictures and signwrite it yet but I did this whole job (pull apart, rub back, paint, clear and reasemble by my self over a weekend. I'll update it when i've done more to her. heres some other angles.
cheers! Rod

Todd, its what we call a "Ute". this one is a Holden vy ute and is a couple years old. Ford also do utes here, its a "aussie thing" Holdens are GMH but All aussie built, (except for the Chev 5ltr motor). we export our Monaros as Pontiac GTOs which are made in my home state here. Yeah they are close to the old el camino i guess but we get new models evey year or so and have done since we first converted the old t model fords. Actually we are sorta famous for making the ute back then i'm told. (short for utillity) the first production utes were made here in 1948 by holden. Thanks for your kind words. cheers! Rod

I like that you paid such close attention to the jams. I see lots of paint jobs around here latetly where whomever did them didn't even bother to spray the jam at all . I'd like to find that painter and slap them.
That is a cool ride. Australia gets cars like this and here in the states we get what, the Scion

Really nice Rod!!! I'm familiar with those colors so I can just picture how brilliant it is out in the sun. No digital wrap could ever compare with that.

Shep I cant wait to get back up there. Not sure when it will be but you'll know about it when and if it happens. My dream would be to work up there for a year or so as the opportunity to go crazy on paint jobs is better there.
Still dream'n

Rod, the rips are great! I can't wait for the US to get some of your cars! You could export them painted up! Wow, nice detail, sharp colors. The blue is wild; did you use a metallic? What type of paint do you spray with? Do you mix your own colors or are they a customized blend from the manufacturer?
