Hey, I just received the new Vinyl Graphic's catalogue. For those of you who haven't heard of them, they sell computer vinyl and a lot of auto "kit" graphics for aftermarket installers....they also sell digital graphics and "plotter cut" images.
I noticed when looking in the back of their catalogue....they had a "Calvin" type kid whizzin' on a Ford emblem.
For those of you who care, the case could probably technically be made that they are using Calvin's likeness AND Ford's logo without permission from either entities.
It personally doesn't bug me, I guess....but I do find it "ball-sy" to publish this decal for sale in a corporate catalogue for the world to see.
I know this has been the subject of debate and might be of some interest to some of you.
The image is located on page 101 of their catalogue....complaints by those who feel strongly against such usage can be lodged at their toll free number: 800-521-1884.
