need a price for some plastic letters made on a router not a big job but for someone who works with the wife need the BURNS CRAFT lettering cut in 3/16 -5/16 beige plastic or lexan burns craft routed in 1/4-5/16 beige plexi.....this is a copy of letter style. size is 3.25 on the capitol C, 1.75 on lower case A. length on burns is 9" and craft is 8". picture didnt copy but the letter style is sorta like a an old brush script.... need 2 of them one for each side of the boat..

Routed letters have a radius on inside corners, the radius of the router bit. With small letters in a script font, this radius can greatly change the look of the letter. Lasers on the other hand produce tight inside corners. Lasers also automatically polish the edges of the letters.
For the material, unless the cutter just happens to have a piece of 1/4 beige in house, the choice is either to buy a full sheet or go to a store like Tap Plastics and buy a smaller piece at retail. It would probably be easier to find a drop of the ivory used in signfaces, at 1/8 or 3/16, and then coat the back to kill the translucency.
The radius thing is the bigger question. Vic G

i got a local guy who has a router, sent this to him 3-4 times now....NEED A PRICE so i can tell the guy what it will cost so i can then say ok make it...but i get no return calls..so iam askin here if you need to see font i can email a photocopy.....the original letters are made of that pot metal like the old car names had in the 60's, and the salt water pretty well ate it up. if i can get a price then i can think about the radius.
