Thanks to all of you that shared your opinions on my post about purchasing a PC or a MAC. I still think this is the neatest site for asking questions on just about anything and getting reasonable replies.
You guys have helped me out on so many different occasions and I think you're all just great!
I will stick with what I'm familiar with and buy another PC. I will have enough of a learning curve anyway learning the other equipment and production side to my expansion.
Thanks again to all of you. You're the best!
Take Care,

Since I didn't post to the original discussion, I'll do so here. We have three MAC'S and five PC's.
If this was 1990 I'd say you'd be insane not to choose MAC for graphics work. MAC got its reputation precisely because it was into WYSIWYG graphics software when the PC was still DOS-based and graphics there were achieved by coding, much the way UBB and HTML is. When I chose the MAC platform in 1990 it was absolutely the best decision. Staff could start right in with design work without becoming computer literate. I just couldn't see them typing all kinds of command strings to do their layouts. The MAC was way more productive.
That's no longer the case, so if you're already familiar with PC's then go ahead and get another one for all the reasons Janette cited. I still love our MAC's and they don't give me the same grief as the PC's do, but I wouldn't go so far as to say they are a "must have".
You'll be happy with your decision...I just wanted to mention why the MAC has the reputation it does in the graphics industry.
