I was thinking of getting some clipart scrolls, gingerbread and panels. Does anybody have either the Butler gold or the Golden Studios clip art? opinions on either? or others?

I have Butler vol. 1 and use it often. Great for old fashioned/historic work. I tried to order #2 twice, and was never answered. Golden Studios is also a very good choice.

Both have two volumes and are well worth the money. David Butler's (Butler Gold Vol. 1 and 2) are all original designs in an .eps format. Mike Jackson took historic designs and digitized them - I think I'm right on that. His first volume is "Classic Sign Painter's Ornaments" and the second is called "The Main Street Collection". They come in several different file types for both PC and Mac.

All four volumes paid for themselves within the first week. The number of variations possible with this clip art is limitless. Since I do a lot of historical stuff this source of clip art is invaluable. It just does not get any better - these guys are the best in the business, and have shared their talents with the rest of us...at a very modest fee.

Sorry to hear that your order went unnoticed. Are you sure that David or Susie got the message? Why not try again? It is not like them to ignore anyone.

I agree with Raymond, thier money makers, these will pay you back time after time if you use them.

Flip a coin, get the cd, then use them to upsell your customers this week, and then you'll be able to buy another next week with the additional profits.

Ken - Have Butler's first disk (definately will get his new one) & have both of Jackson's collections - well worth the investment for NICE scrollwork, panels etc. Don't think about it, just get out the card, you won't be sorry!

I have all four CDs. If these guys keep putting out this kind of quality stuff, I won't have to do any work at all!
