Downloaded the trial version of Estimate software- when it was done downloading, right as I was going to install, my computer burped, or hiccupped or whatever. After I restarted it, I did a search and I cannot locate it. Any idea's??

Thanks

Try going thru the motions of downlaoding something again without actually doing it. You should get the download box come up with the path to the file you saved it in....some temp directory perhaps or a winzip directory?

I downloaded the trial, and ordered the real thing the day after, now up and running, and really enjoying see how close you are to really getting it right.

I have had great help from Mark, and his people, plus a really good tutorial cd

Hi Steve. Do a search. Go into Windows Explorer, and in there you'll find a file folder "My Download Files". You should be able to locate your lost download there. If you double click on it, it should them load itself.

Hope this helps.

Why do I get all those on-line offers to sell me Viagara, when the only thing hardening is my arteries ?

Steve,

When Internet Explorer (assuming that's what you're using, this being the planet of Microsoft and all) downloads a file, it saves it in a temp file first - in a temp directory - then copies it to the location you want it saved in. The last step is naming it the name you want it to be.

The download is 12.03 mb in size, so you can do a find file for a file this size dated today and attempt to rename it "eTrial.exe" and double click on it. It will probably be right in the "My Download Files" folder Ken mentioned.

Let me know if you need any assistance, my email is mark@estimatesoftware.com. Thanks for your interest!

Henry, thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you're pleased with EstiMate and with our staff.

If you still haven't found it... Try this. Go to the download site again. Go through the motions of downloading. Windows will ask you to save it to the following directory. REad the directory and that is where your file is located. You won't have to download now so press no and then go to the file location.
This by the way, has never failed me.
