Just wondering what everyone does with their scrap vinyl.I give mine to the elementary school where my wife is an assistant teacher for kids to cut out various shapes . They even have a machine called an Ellison that cuts the scraps into shapes like a cookie cutter.Just a thought as the schools could use all the help they can get. Gary

Read an interesting article in a Signcraft of long ago on presicely this subject. They suggested using all the screps to produce "Vinalsauruses". It has proved very popular with my 3 daughters now aged 7, 9, & 16.
Method is to separate the colours, scrunch them up and mould them into different scultured shapes, (Dinosaurs anyone). Finishing touches, facial features etc can be added with oil based felt tiped pens and diferent coloured cut pieces of vinyl.
Scap pieces of vinyl do not stay in the trash can for long around here.

My son does all sorts of things with them, and I give him trash bags full to take to school. I also take them to my sister, who is a teacher for her class, and any of her friends. Kids love em.

As with a lot of cmpanies, I give mine to a local school. On her last pick up the teach admitted that the last sign company actually SOLD thier scraps to the school! Well I guess that sort of makes sense, although I dont plan on it. I will however get a letter for tax deduction donation purposes (I need my money more than Uncle Sam right now!)
