Started moving a week ago, got the office all set up and it is really cute! Got the rest of the truck bay area fuctional today, but still have to move the radial arm saw and the compressor over.
A trucker who hauled 40 refrigerators from the housing authority (got them all free for just hauling them away) gave me one for use as a"keg-er-ator" so ya all who stop in can have a brewski!
The bad news:
There are 7 phone lines coming into this unit, and the freaking phone company can't seem to let me have one line with my business phone number!
A serviceman has to come out and figure it all out! So we went and got a NEXTEL / cell phone, which hasn't arrived yet.
All this means is that I cant connect to the Internet from my office.
I might actually get some work done because I can't hang around Letterville much!
As for posting pictures of the shop, I can't seem to get to my earthlink private websapce from my son's computer....arhgggggg!
Oh well!
That's about it. I sure miss keeping up with the posts. I looked down over the all the posts I missed reading over that past week, and there is no way I can catch up! Letterville has come along way in the past 5 years. Its grown into a city! We might have to rename it "LetterCity"!
I don't have any news on how SongPainter is coming along. During the move, one last song I was trying to get recorded was lost. I recorded it on the keyboard, which has to stay plugged in or the batteries have to be fresh to retain the musical imput on the three tracks.
Much to my grief, during the move, the keyboard got unplugged, the batteries went down and the recording was lost. It will take weeks to restore it.
The recordings are currently in Montanna getting a final mastering at Making Tracks Sound Studio, and I haven't heard from them at all. That's a hint for Pierre to call me.

Hi Dave, I didn't know you were moving... Bigger, better, closer, cheaper, I hope. Huge bummer about the keyboard. I'm tellin' ya, you gotta get a midi interface and start dumping those tracks directly onto a hard drive. Hope your phone gets straightened out soon. We need you here daily.

Congrats Dave! Have you got anyone in mind to do a sign for the new digs yet? I know a guy in Bloomington that does a great job at a good price. He's got an odd personality, but we've all learned to look past that!
How about an address. This way when I swing through later this month, I can stop in and waste some of your time AND see the new place!
