This is a senseless tragedy. There is no doubt of that. But I am hearing stories of heroes who are greater than the tragedy. This is what I choose to focus on.
I salute the folks who ignored their own safety and tried to make a difference.
The brave folks who fought the criminals and in the process brought down the plane in Penn.
The brave men & women firefighters, emergency crews and police who ran into the twin towers when all others were running out.
The many who remained in the towers to help friends and strangers who were hurt or couldn't make it out for some other reason.
The many folks who in spite of their critical situation in those last critical minutes and seconds, thought of their loved ones and phoned home to tell their families of their love for them.
The many firefighters and workers who are tirelessly working to free the trapped from their horrible prison before it is too late.
And countless loved ones and friends who are keeping a vigil for the missing folks.
The countless loved ones left behind.
I salute you all.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
