Found the article I was looking for in SignCraft. My old production mgr.- Chuck Reed, coinsidentally had an article about painting on awnings. He recommends vinyl ink for fast drying, non-bleeding, opaqueness and flexibility(Nazdar VF series). The couple of replies I got back from yesterday recommended block out then one shot and the other recommended latex. IM CONFUSED. Painting beige letters on dk. green FABRIC awnings.Anyone? anyone?

I've painted a ton of canvas awnings in the past. Prime with blockout, thinned down, then another coat or two of One Shot. BTW, I was doing an awning at a sales center years ago, It was kind of windy, and there were palm trees on each side of me, One of the fronds dipped in my paint and proceded to create its own design on the awning
I let it dry, then scraped the paint off with a razor blade.

1-shot poster white(quick drying) followed by 1-shot enamel chamois/beige, or specified color for topcoat would work for me.
