Last night I was lettering a bug shade for a customer's new truck. Well, I've never really bothered with bug shades before, so I never realized how damn curved they are. They are (this one anyway) was kind of shaped like an "S".
Anyway, I started putting the lettering on (HP Cast Vinyl), and boy what a time I had. I've always lettered everything dry and have never really had any problems with bubbles, but these things just didn't seem to jive with my application techniques! After a few minutes of swearing, I remembered that I had just bought a very small sample bottle of Rapid Tac to aid in changing my cutter protection strip. And it had just arrived the day before.
One of my best helpers was there (my brother sometimes stops in - works for free!), so I told him to hold on to the piece we had just started putting on while I go get that little bottle of fluid. Well, don't you know what happened next? I was able to fix the piece I had started to screw up and NOT ONE SINGLE BUBBLE! I couldn't believe it! I was so impressed, I ripped off what we had and put on whole new pieces. Again, not one bubble whatsoever!
I was also able to put on the second color absolutely flawless.
Roger, I must say I am impressed with your product, and I believe I will get a much bigger bottle very soon. The bottle I bought was Rapid Tac. I heard Rapid Tac II mentioned here before. Can you tell me what the difference is?
Oh, and I must say, after applying the lettering successfully, I could just picture Roger smiling in his pink shirt out in the sun saying "I told you so."
And before anyone goes off and says this message sounds "strange", like an endorsement, let me just say now...NOT! I haven't been paid a dime, just thought I'd share an enjoyable experience on this board.
Have a great weekend everyone! Randy

We "private labeled" for Spartin many years ago. Avery was going to continue, but they did not have the "trained staff", so back to us it goes.
We won't loose any customers though, Avery is kind enough to "refer" their distributors to us !! This gives us the oppertunity to also sell them our other products, so we will see an increase in sales I'm sure.
