Hello Everyone! I woke this morning to a 7AM phone call from my best Pal Stewart McLaren in Scotland singing a rousing version of "Happy Birthday!" What a guy! Nothing special planned fur today, just painting. They say on your birthday you should go do what you really enjoy, so that's what I'm going to do.....PAINT! After the recent Mural projects in Walnut Iowa in May, I became ill with what we now know as "Panic Disorder". I felt as if I could not get a breath and anxiety attacks. After a few Emergency room visits and now I'm medicated, I feel much better. I haven't drank since and I'm eating right and exercising, I lost 30 pounds since May7th! A wake up call? I consider it one....everyday is a GREAT DAY to be "Above ground!" That's my story....and I'll look forward to seeing many of you kids in Milwaukee for basic Hand Lettering 101! Come join the fun!! (Sure could use some snow bout now!)

There are so many June Birthdays on this BB it make you wonder what our parents (including me as I myself have 2 June kids) were thinking of 9 months prior around the middle of September....is it just something about that time of year?
Oh well, do what I did yesterday....nothing! Absolutely nothing....it was pretty boring.
hahahahahahahahah

What do they call that when you are thinking of someone........and there they are! Telepathy? Anyways Mike, nice to see your smiling face, and glad you are doing fine. You are still welcome if you and your family should decide to come to Seattle. Happy Birthday my friend! Cheryl

Happy Birthday Mike,,, Those panic attacks can be real scary can they? But you are not alone it is so common, but people just would'nt talk about them.. I guess they thought they were going nuts, but that's not the case.. you're on the right track, lose weight, exercise, is the greatest healer.... it's amazing what a good brisk walk in the evening can do for your mind and soul... headline: GRAIN BELT BREWERY TO CLOSE St. Paul, Minnesota (AP)
The Grain Belt Brewery in St. Paul announced today it will cease operations and close, effective immediately.
Brewery spokesperson Murgatroyd von Schmuckleheim read a prepared statement to the press, stating that the decision to close the brewery was due in no small part to the recent illness of Mazeppa, Minnesota sign painter Mike Meyer, which has caused Mr. Meyer to quit drinking. "As our single largest customer, Mike pretty much kept us going the past few years," said von Schmuckleheim. "All the boys down at the plant useta say we wouldn't know what we'd do without that Meyer fella down there in Mazeppa, so when he got sick, it was an awful shock, ya betcha."
Mr. Meyer, who is currently celebrating his fortieth birthday, could not be reached for a comment.

Happy Birthday Mike! I feel for ya with the anxiety thing. Lynn is going thru the same thing. It started in May, same kinda attack, she thought it was a heart attack. As soon as we got her on the meds she began to be anxiuos about the persription running out. She's doin better now; but it's a weird cycle. A day late & a dollar short.
