doing a couple of snack carts both stainless steel, one has vinly on it so removing will be no problem, the other has paint, looks like its been on there quite a while any way to remove it with minimal scratching i am up for any suggestions? can i use any type of thinner, cleaner, heat gun? anything

I've always used Easy Off Oven Cleaner. Has a chemical reaction with Lettering enamel and takes it off. Be sure to clean area well before applying new lettering.

I would think any decent caustic type paint remover would shift it with very little effort.Wear rubber gloves when scraping the paint off with an old piece of plastic:and protect your eyes in case of splashes.
