I don't brag too often. Modesty is one of my many wonderful attributes. But folks, I'm just bustin' to share this recent job with you. Dick and I just finished this super cool carved beauty that uses a whole bag of tricks. I prepared a web page with lots of pictures and full details if you would like to have a closer look. Hope you like it.

Joe, I just got back from your site. Woohoo! There's a reason they call 'em bragging rights and you have definitely earned them. It was pure pleasure viewing your work!

Thanks everyone. A couple of you wanted to know what we got for the job. The contracted price was $5,400. We ended up hitting some blacktop below the dirt and tacked a $150 upcharge on the final bill for the extra time. We had put a disclaimer on the contract to cover that possibility and the upcharge was paid without a wimper. The client also had the old steel sign and footers removed before we got there. I think we made out well on the job. There was enough money there that we could justify pulling out the stops a litle bit.
We will be going back to paint the backsides of the ovals matte black where they stick out on the sides. We'll also add some more patina to the post caps, which are already turning all sorts of nice colors. The heavy copper clips on the frame will probably end up getting a green patina accelerator applied too, to keep it from going brown. Im afraid if I clear those big clips they will get splotchy after a few months anyway, and I'd prefer patina to brown splotches. The copper tube stems for the cattails are cleared as a test of sorts. If those ended up turning brown or splotchy it would still look good, so I'll let them ride and see what happens. This is going to sell a lot of other work for us. We're very happy.
Amazing! Inspirational! All the good verbs were already taken by the previous posters. Ditto on the commentary. This is going into my idea files. Hope that's okay!

Joe and Dick - Beautiful sign! Wow, it's...Gary Anderson-ish, if ya know what I mean. (I mean that as a compliment; I hope you take it that way.)
You two make a great team! Please "brag" whenever you'd like.
Humbly, Sam
