Amen Brother ! I just got the soundtrack CD for my Birthday and it's GREAT !!! and it's enhanced with a screensaver that's a hoot. If you like this music try Allison Krauss and Union Station. ( they were the Soggy Bottom Boys ) Can't wait to buy the DVD. Capn Ron

You're right Mark - the movie was great, and if you were lucky enough to grow up in the South, you could almost smell, taste and feel it. The cinematography was outstanding (I think they got an Oscar nomination for it) and the story was based on the Odyssey, so it was fun drawing the analogies to Homer's original. I stayed at the end to see who did the signs, but I hadn't heard of him and can't remember his name - old age is taking its toll on my feeble brain. When I first got into this biz, I did a couple of signs and acted as an extra in a movie with Andy Devine- formerly Wild Bill Hickok's sidekick "Jingles" (that reference should cut out the youngsters) It was a very low budget moonshine movie filmed in Columbia, S.C. in the late 60's or early 70's. I think I saw it once on some obscure channel in the 4 a.m. movie slot. The movie stunk, but the signs were awesome.

PETE! I thought you was a HoRnY TOad!!!!! I LOVED the movie and enjoy the CD even more! My favorite era is the 1930's and I knew this one was going to be good just from the trailors. The Minneapolis Born "Coen Bros" (Fargo) have done it again!
I thought for sure one of them Chain gang prisoners was Sonny Franks, maybe it was R.T., I'll have to see the movie again I guess Y'all.!
Two thumbs Up on this one Bubba!

CapnRon is Ron Myers from Enid Ok. Ron Myers is also the name of an outstanding young man from Tulsa, so I try to go by Capn (as in Capn' crunch ) Ron , a nick name I picked up after the Kurt Russell classic of the same name. I have always been a Blue grass fan but lately I 'm really likeing it more and more. When this movie comes out on DVD i'm buying it for all my family. It's a must have just like Raising Arizona and Fargo . I am also proud to say Coop and I are friends. P.S. I'm new to this format , where is the dam speel check ?
