Add me on the list of customers The one Donna sent me couple years ago is on its last legs ... chipped Certainly do with some more as they are a great tool. I'm getting really p.....d off with people using cheap vinyls .. they delaminate and leave ALL the glue behind!!!!

Lil Chislers are a handy and inexpensive tool. They were originally marketed as a safe scraper for teflon pots and pans, then some signmaker realized they were great for removing vinyl graphics. Chislers are made of nylon and bear some resemblance to vinyl squeegees, except they have a sharp, almost razor like edge.
In answer to your question, if you do much vinyl graphic work at all, having a couple of these in your signkit is not a bad idea.

I was the one who orchastrated the Letterhead Lil' Chizler deal. The extra money collected was sent to Steve and Barb a while back to the tune of around $60 to $70. Alot of that came from the many generous Letterheads that sent an extra dollar or two for their order. I sold the chizlers at slightly above my costs which involved the chizlers, envelopes, and shipping and the leftover funds were sent to Steve and Barb. I did this to help the Letterheads that could not find these handy little tools and some small financial help to this site. It was ALOT more time consuming than I thought it would be. Several people ordered but did not come thru with the money. I did alot of emailing to sell off the 1000 chizlers I ordered. Am I sorry I did it? NO! Would I do it again? Maybe. If I do, a prepayed check to order will be necessary. The minimum order is 500 chizlers, and if I do it again, I will wait for checks to come in and then order the number of chizlers needed.
Anyone that needs some right away can order from 2 places that I know of.
Sign-Mart 800-533-9099 70¢ each with Sign-Mart logo on them.
Grimco 800-542-9941 59¢ no imprint.
Both of these prices are from 2000 catalogs.
If there are enough responses on this thread to hit 500 chizlers, I'll do it again. We ordered them in neon pink for easy spotting in the shop and the Letterhead logo was imprinted in black. You can see one in picture 3 on page 115 in Jerry Mathel's Glue Chipped Glass article in the Feb. 2001 Sign Builder Illustrated. I sold them for $9.00 a dozen which included postage.
I'll keep an eye on this thread and if there is enough intrest, I'll post instructions on where to send a check.
