It was really nice of roland to let us know that with the new type machines that it is no longer successful to cut vinyl with the blade in the box marked vinyl blade but that you should use the blade marked for cutting flourescents or the blade for cutting reflectives to cut vinyl it sure would have saved me a lot of headaches and lost hair not that I've got much to lose in the last few days I just hope yhis info here and on my other post helps somebody else the new machines pnc1210 and cm500 require 45 degree or 60 degree blades instead of the old 30 degree vinyl blades both my machines are working fine now just needed to vent

Ian..I have only been using Rolands for 8 or 9 years...BUT I have never ever seen a 30 degree blade. All that my suppliers have ever offered were 45 and 60 degree blades. Thanks for the information, though, and I am glad to hear that the resolution to your problem was something as simple as switching blades!

Dave they must have shipped these blades over hear to us just to get rid of them it must be their way of getting even with us

ian i have been using rolands for 11 yrs and have never seen a 30 degree blade either? i do recall waaaaay back when, being sold an 'american' blade? what ever that was.... i never used it , just sent it back cause it looked funny and got the right one. but i dont think from memory that it was a diff degree just a fatter blade. who was selling u these 30's ? where they ever suposed to be for a roland??? i too am glad that u got to the bottom of your problem.... but it still seems strange
