Have a customer who wants me to provide an illuminated sign. They want to use someone local (bless their hearts). In the past I have subbed these out and made commission on them, but I'd like to make the faces, purchase a ready made box and use the local electrician. Can anyone give me the name of a supplier (preferably Canadian) that is good. I'd also appreciate any other advice on providing this type of signage. Is there a Letterhead merchant that supplies these?
I also have to replace the faces in a 5'x 6' double sided box, but the client wants a flexible face (the stuff that was in there looks like awning or banner fabric). Can someone tell me what this is called and where to get it. I've been told it is a real pain to install - is that true?

Hi Kelly.

I'm afraid I don't know of any sign box wholesalers that I can recommend...but you might just want to call a few of the bigger electrical shops in Regina to see if they wholesale.

The flexible signface is probably one of a few products. If you plan to offer a premium option, call ND GRAPHICS for info about 3M Panaflex, as well as 3M translucent films and light control films.

Good luck!

Kelly,
We have used a couple of companies out of Ontario
YMS and SignDepot www.signdepo.com
Check the latest Signs Canada magazine, I believe there was someone from Vancouver listed in there.
Cheers,
Heading back to the Great White North tomorrow. [Smile]

Kelly, these guys are in the states but I have seen no better built boxes around. www.signcabinetsinc.com Great people to deal with. I have bought many from them and couldn't be happier.
