I belong to another bb where we make personal health type goals for ourselves and check up on each other. Our goals run for 21 days (it's said if you repeat a certain step for 21 days it will pretty much become habit after that point).
What we do daily is throw out a mini goal for the group to complete. It keeps the routine from getting boring and it's fun to see who's up to the challenge and completes them. Also, you'll be ahead somehow if you actually DO them.
So if anyone is up to attempt a mini goal each day for a week to see how it goes, join in! I'll dream up something the night before for you to put on your to-do list so it's there when you come online for the next morning. Brag (ok, report) your efforts, let us know how you do!

~ Find your desk ~
Got too much clutter in your office? Hard to find a place to write? Time to swipe your desktop with your arm and attempt to remember what color your desktop was!
One way I keep my desktop clean is to have an empty drawer/bin/whatever nearby. If it gets too chaotic, in a pinch I can grab it all and dump and sort it out later. See if you can clean out a drawer for the same purpose or find a bin and let's see those desk tops sparkle today! Check in after you've done it and feel free to brag. Yes, we promise to be very impressed!
For those with already squeeky clean desks, you won't get off that easy. There must be something that needs to be reduced from a pile of paper. See if you can empty that basket or at least make a small dent in it.

Mine was so bad I had to have a Professional Organizer come in and do it. She finished today. If I get a chance tomorrow, I'll post before & after pictures.
Only trouble now is...I can't find anything!! Where are all my piles when I need them.

Well, I'm impressed! How is it with your new fancy clean desks? Enjoy!!
Mike Meyer, may 1000 seagulls crash through your office window and *WHOOPS* on your spotless desktop.
I'll admit my desk is clean. Over the weekend I got fed up of the non functional mess and changed everything around. I even repainted my bulletinboards so everything had to come off those too. You couldn't see my floor nor desks.
I wasn't in my office today at all, so tomorrow I'll go through a stack of something and get rid of it.

A brother in law of mine is a very successful businessman who owns a good sized company. Every time I visit him at his office I’m struck by the fact that there isn’t a piece of paper anywhere, quite unlike my mangled mess.
One day, I left a note on his desk that read: “If a cluttered desk is the sign of a cluttered mind..., what is an empty desk the sign of??”
