What is the best or easiest way to apply three different colors of vinyl on white vinyl to complete a single decal? (all high-performance) Customer wants the decal all put together as one decal to apply themselves.

Positive/negative cuts. Insert multicolor parts into the matrix, all on the same level, using clear premask. NO OVERLAYS! You'll get nothing but bubblegrief.

Jim..I agree with Pierre that piling 3 or 4 layers on top of each other and trying to apply them as one unit with one piece of transfer tape holding them all together results in nothing but grief.
I did it once and only once.
Use Pierre's method or apply transfer tape to each colour and then pre assemble them on a light table and tape them together in such a way that each layer can be hinged individually and then applied individually starting with the bottom layer.
Mark Matyjakowski has an excellent diagram of what I am saying. Hopefully he will add a link for you to look at.

When I produce these, the material of choice as far as I am concerned, is 3M HP, with the clear plastic backing, vs a paper backing. Also, the more transparent the app. tape, the better, as well.
If the graphic is quite complicated, it would be convenient to use a large light table. This would allow you to really see where you are going. curt

If you can't get an edge print what I'd try first. (My edge is great for those types of things.) The next best thing is to use registration marks just like Mark is showing on his web page. I make mine 5 point stars but you can use whatever floats your boat. After I learned about reg. marks it sped up my installations immensely. Try it, you'll like it!
