Anyone know if the signlab fonts are TTF or what are they?

Miles, As far as I know, they are mostly true-type. When you select your font, it should show TT alongside it. Signlab has a lot of other fonts in their package, and they are labeled with a V. How many fonts you have depends on the level of Signlab you have. Regardless of "TT" or "V" you should be able to plot and cut. Hope this helps.

ummm actually NO, that is not the case at all. the prepackaged fonts that came with Signlab are almost all VEF (cadlink) Fonts. there are a FEW WFN extensions in the package, but NO TTF fonts. The system DOES support TTF's and others, but it is a little buggy to be honest, even in the latest build, 5.0 Revision 6.3.
Maybe it will be fixed in version 6.0, coming out in a couple of months.

The only problem I have with Signlab's True Type font handling is the installation and deletion, it doesn't apparently read them directly from windows. On the plus side you would rarely need them, as the vef selection is pretty good and they've been working on the Adobe Type 1 font handling. Type 1 fonts used to have a time lag when selecting, Signlab doesn't use Adobe's font manager, now you can load the Type 1 fonts to your hard drive with only the pfb extension and they work as fast and as well as the vef fonts.

OK, I stand corrected, which is not at all unusual. Thanx Tas. You are right that the poster showing the fonts does say VEF and WFN, it gets confusing when you select your font and that TT shows up beside it. Just as an aside, I run SL5, revision 6.2 and so far haven't hit too many snags. Probably just dumb luck.

I should also add does anyone know of a font matching program that works with the signlab font system?
