I want to send an public apology to all the LetterRip on 66 meet organizers.

I am sorry for any confusion or conflicts that may have been caused between the Rt66 meet and the Edge Head meet. This has caused some hard feelings that I have recently been made aware of.

It was never my intention to pull or distract Letterheads away from the Rt66 event. Apparently this is some of the feeling. The Rt66 organizers are working extremely hard to make this event nothing short of spectacular. We all should really thank them for the tremendous time they have sacrificed. I could see where they could have issues if the Edge Head meet was the cause for a loss of attendence. It won't be.

The Edge Head meet is for sign craftsmen with thermal printers. I never saw a conflict between the two meets. I still don't see a conflict. The very few that are coming to the Edge meet are not sign painters, pinstripers, or walldogs. They may, or may not, consider themselves to be "Letterheads", but, picking up a brush is not their cup of tea. That specific "other" group of "Letterheads" now have an opportunity to see both worlds of sign crafting if they so choose.

All future mention of the Edge Head Meet and updates will be posted on 4edgetalk.com All posting of creative panel work as they arrive will be on 4edgetalk. com as well.

We also offered to have an early arrival get together for those who get into town on Thursday afternoon and want to hang out. I'm not sure if this is also causing hard feelings amongst meet organizers. The meet organizers did not offer this hospitality and we felt it proper that it should be done.

If the Rt66 organizers wish to hold an early arrival get together, then by all means we would be happy to stand down.

Lastly, another suspicious cause for hard feelings is that I was a part of the LetterRip organizers. I pulled out for personal reasons and time constraints. Then I go and hold and Edge meet. I can see where this looks a little goofy at first glance. I can see where this would cause some hard feelings.

The personal reasons for pulling out are personal. I would have failed my responsibilities and let everyone down. I did the right thing and stepped out early on.

The time constraints to organize the Edge Head meet boil down to promtion. Everything is ready to go except for mounting the panels we are receiving, and the meet attendies can do that the day of the meet if any actually come.

Again, I am sincerely sorry. You guys are doing a great thing. Keep up the good work.
