You'll find that PHOTOSHOP PLUGINS are made to work in PHOTOSHOP, and some other programs.Like with the EYE CANDY chrome effect.......it shows in the pull-down in PHOTOSHOP, but NOT in the pull-downs in other programs. To find out what programs these effects will work in, you need to call the manufacturer of the PLUG-IN to find out in advance of purchasing! If you're just using CorelDRAW, there are a number of PHOTOSHOP plugins that will either not work, or partially work in programs OTHER than PHOTOSHOP! .....BUMMER!!!!! ALSO....these 'effects' are meant to work on BITMAPS and NOT VECTORS!

Karyn, Asking a question here will typically bring some discussion. Some may be a valuable reply to your question, but like in any room full of people, a discussion topic takes on a life of it's own. The old a$$hole comment aside, the diversity of opinions here is really the essence of what makes it such a valuable place to visit. IMHO
As for goodies from your techi friend, you can purchase the licensed right to use eyecandy 4000 from http://www.alienskin.com
Fortunately you can export your vector work into bitmap software, run the special effects on the design in bitmap form, then import the bitmap (with the effects) back into your vector software. If you have CorelDRAW, chances are you also have Photopaint, and they integrate quite nicely together making the vector-bitmap transition pretty easy.

thanks for the input...i played with it a bit yesterday...it's so frustrating that the omega software is suppose to support this great machine called the edge but it's limitations are insane. i know i can import the file back into omega but it's hard to make the cut lines match up perfectly to a rasterized file or i can import just the background... but it's a pain in the but for sure. oh well gerber's got a lot of catching up to do...gotta run...have a ton of layouts and quotes due in the am! have a great night all!
