I have a quick question for the residents...

I see that as a resident you get a few free fonts from "the fontry". Do they have chisled fonts?

I have been thinking about new business cards, and I want to see how a chisled font would look on it.

Thanks for the help,

Hi Mark...Here's a bit more info on the Fontry Fonts available free to Letterville Residents.

THE FONTS IN THIS PACKAGE:

ARB44, ARB67, ARB70 - revived alphabets by Alf R. Becker designed in the '30s and '40 for Signs of the Times magazine

Excursions - clean, very few surprises, best readability

Excursions Alternate - futuristic, unusual letterforms

Excursions Construction - strong, tough, dynamic characters

Excursions Restaurant - a little extra class, similarly shaped letters

Excursions Terminus - authoritative, commanding, strict form

Excursions Variant - lots of smooth, rounded letterforms

FirstVision - a narrow, futuristic font with some evil twists

Klash - a sharp, rounded cartoon script with bounce

Toxia - something wet, something wicked, and this way it comes

Eternals - a really heavy block font, works great when your sign needs authority. If you don't believe me, try typing POLICE. You may never go
back to your other fonts! Some legibility at small size is sacrificed.

Eternals Chiseled - Just like Eternals, with all the bells and whistles of a 3-dimensional bevel font. Great race-car stuff.

Each font has a LEFO (LEtterhead-FOntry) prefix to keep them in order on your system.
Each font selected for this Letterheads/Fontry giveaway is being donated to Letterville users who actively support the website as Residents. Each font was chosen for it's usefulness in a real signmaking environment.
Consulting character maps of each font will reveal numerous additions to most of the character sets. These alternate characters were designed especially for signshops and those days when the customers are a little less than goodwill ambassadors.

Note: FirstVision, Klash, & Toxia do not follow this extended character range convention.

Here's a few samples.

Not a bad deal eh? But that's not all! Residents also get to download some George Perkins pinstripe designs and some assorted clipart from SignDNA.

And don't forget. Your hard earned $50 a year also insures your name is in the hat for 12 monthly draws. Look at this link to see what the winners of this month's draw carried off.

OK...I'm starting to sound like a late night infomercial. For more info, take a look at our Resident's Page .
