Here is a tip that will make you look more professional when you provide a layout or proof to a customer. We have a graphic file (Signlab .CDL in our case) that goes at the bottom of each drawing we do. It contains the following...copyright notice, our logo, address and phone number, a box that shows the scale of the drawing, a box to enter the file path and name of the file, a box to enter the revision of the drawing and my signature. Before you print the proof import this file, size it to fill the bottom of the printed page, change the information that varies for each drawing then print. It only takes a minute to pull it into the job and modify. Makes you look organized and lets your customer know that the drawing belongs to you. Also the customer has your phone number right on the drawing if we wants to call you and place an order!

Great idea, Chuck. I also have a large rubber stamp for proofs. It basically reads:
Actual colors may differ from proof. Please check mark the appropriate box and sign below. ___ Proof o.k. as is. ___ Make changes as noted and o.k to proceed. ___ Make changes as noted & print new proof.
