Has anyone ever tried to cut vinyl and placed it right on top of that Window Perforated vinyl? Got a window job, 75% of the window will be white the rest will just be a simple logo followed by a small amount of copy. I just don't really care for the faded look of the printed perforated window vinyl. The color is weak. So I thought I'd apply the un-printed white perforated vinyl then put the straight cut vinyl right on top.

Is perforated vinyl the stuff you see through, like on city bus windows?

Yep, the customer ordered that type of vinyl to block the sun. But as we know, digital printing is charged by the square foot. Being that most of it will be white, I thought I'd just use vinyl for the logo right on top of the unprinted perforated vinyl.

It wouldn't go well unless you laminated the perf vinyl with an optically clear laminate and then edge sealed it. You could then add vinyl to the face. Otherwise, your die-cut vinyl wouldn't make full contact and water/dirt would eventually sneak in.
