I have a fire vehicle with 12" red stripes that run the length of it that need to go away. What's the best way to accomplish this?

The best thing I have found for reflective is a steamer, and it is still not great. Rapid Remover is the best thing I have found to get the adhesive off.

You CAN use a heat gun, but it's a fine line between too hot and not hot enough. A blow dryer works best for regular HP vinyl, but is not hot enough for reflective.

You almost need 2 people. One to run the heat gun and one to peel. You could also cut the stripes into 1 inch wide stripes. Pulls off a bit easier. A Vinyl Zapper might also work to. Gonna go through a few wheels. And yes, RapidTac is the ultimate choice for adhesive removal. I also use BonAmi powdered cleanser and a wet rag to remove the melted goo off the vehicle. I wish I lived nearer to you Rick. I could pull up a lawn chair and watch you work on that thing.

We have the lawn chair and it might be time for a visit. I might get halfway there in August for the Pete meet. If you come down tomorrow, can you bring your zapper?
