It's been a while since I've posted anything, being retired, but this current pandemic has had me somewhat concerned. I've always tried to think outside the box when looking at situations that need solving, but I'll be the first to admit that I'm woefully ignorant in many subjects. However, I've never shied away from asking questions that might help in furthering my knowledge. So, here's the thought that crossed my mind regarding Covid 19: It's widely accepted that breast-fed babies acquire some immunities from their moms through this practice.
So, if a pregnant lady who happened to recover from this virus, and delivered a healthy baby who she opted to breast feed, would her breast milk contain antibodies to this virus ???
If so, would it be worth while to examine samples of breast milk for antibodies, and duplicate those with the objective of developing a vaccine ? Mother Nature developed the immune system and if human antibodies exist, they'd probably be found in those samples .
I'd invite your thoughts.

Ok, so I'd imagine that Roger would probably volunteer to become a sample collector ?
If there were a viable vaccine that would result from such an investigation, maybe the name Hooters Vaccine would acknowledge it's source.

Rick, My initial thought was that there had to be a better way of finding a viable vaccine to control this virus, than with working directly with dangerous variations in a highly secure lab environment. Possibly samples of mothers' milk could contain antibodies that had already been "filtered" through the mother's immune system.
