I've heard some speak about Ubuntu and something like Kubuntu. What are the limitations of these systems? Will FlexiSign and Photoshop and the Microsoft Office stuff work flawlessly with these?
Do they experience upgrades as frequently as Windows and the IOS?

I installed ubuntu on an old xp computer a couple years ago just to play with. I think you're mostly limited to the available programs.

Have read there is a linux program called "wine" that might make it possible to run some windows programs.

I LOVE LINUX...........simple clean and uncomplicated. only reason i dont have it as my main OS.......... it wont run COREL!!!! corel is all i use to design/layout and cut vinyl.
iam working on GIMP.......it does all the stuff corel does.....but has its "learning curve."
with the WINDOWS 10.....IT MAKES LINUX look better & better.
iam still at WIN 7, 8, 8.1 or 10 does nothing i need and that CORTANA drives me coo koo. i have a laptop/notebook with WIN 10..... it upgreaded to ANIVERSARY EDITION....... and locked the computer into a endless cycle.......had to reload and format the hard drive to fix it. i blocked it from reloading it...and that stupid CORTANA.
