I am amazed how good the camera is in my Samsung Galaxy 3. I shoot pics of paintings and plug in the phone to the computer and easily upload to Corel Photo for editing. Now, something is wrong. My PC no longer recognizes the Samsung as another drive or source. I have tried everything, including another cord and checked all the connections. Does anyone have a clue how to restore the recognition of the phone on the computer?

Preston, I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace II. It connects via USB to my laptop or via Bluetooth. Files flow back and forth with no problem using either method.
I don't know what computer OS you are using, but maybe uninstall the Samsung application from your computer and start fresh? Or try connecting via Bluetooth?
This old fart has discovered the convenience of Bluetooth...communication between my phone, my car, my computers and my printers and scanners!!! Where was this technology 20 years ago???

I'd try the suggestions about checking the phone to make sure it isn't seeing the usb cord as "charging upload" and re-installing the samsung software. Also, some phones will only download to the computer with specific cables (usually the one it came with) so if yours went bad & you tried another cord, it may not be compatible.
