I buy Gemini letters with their tape on the back. It covers almost the entire back of the letter in strips. They charge 5% more. Well worth it to me.I probably don't need to but I peel off a small area of the tape and apply Lexel in a couple small spots. You will never be able to get them off.

It can make a big difference whether the letters are going outside in the weather or inside.
I don't trust adhesives for an acrylic-to-metal bond outdoors. The time tested method is stud mounting. And even then, a real tight fit is not good. Slightly oversize holes with a soft adhesive, like silicone, will allow the letters to float and move independently of the aluminum.
Inside on a lobby wall, however, may never present a problem. Silicone in addition to adhesive tape is smart.

E-6000...developed originally as a mortar additive when dealing with bricklaying on potentially shifting surfaces. We bought it in caulk tube sizes but now available in 8oz tubes from most crafts stores. It has all of the adhesion that you will ever need on 99% of the surfaces you attach too.
