A few years back I got back to the shop after being out a couple of hours. There were three messages from the same guy probably a half hour apart.
1. Mr Peterson, I would like a quote on a sign. Please call me at(Phone #)
2. Mr Peterson, I am patiently awaiting your return call.

I had another one of those "we can lower your electric bill" calls last week. My electric at the shop is very low - I don't turn on things if I'm not using them so I know this is a waste of my time.
I was trying to get a job done around a zillion phone calls & people walking in to pick up stuff. I answer the phone & the guy starts telling me he can save me on my electric, etc. Then he asks if I have my electric bill handy. I couldn't resist. "Yup, I've been sitting here all day, holding it in my hand, hoping you'd call to save me on my $25 electric bill". He had no idea how to respond.
