I am wondering who is using Ronan Aqua Cote, and wondering what your thoughts after using this product have been.
When I do mock-ups at HD, the go to has been One Shot or Hot Hues. Chemical storage around here is very intolerant to hazardous materials being left out, so this may address another issue ( using water based... ) at the same time.
I look forward to what ever feedback I can gain.
I am also wondering about the Ronan vs One Shot lettering enamel comparisons some of you may have done.
Thanks!

I am a big fan of all things Ronan. The Aqua Coat paints hold up very well here in the northeast. We use the latex base paints on HDU most of the time. I have used the real gold that looks as good as any "gold" paint I have ever applied. Three years and still looks like the day installed. Of course I came up with the oil based paints and still use them

I generally like the Aqua-Cote but I had a nightmare job last year using it. I think the problem was some kind of badass contaminant on the substrate, but I'm still a little gun-shy right now.....

Kent- The mock-us I am working on are actual finished parts ( tanks, fenders, saddle bags etc. ) that I paint and then create conceptual paint designs from there. So, I end up working directly on an automotive type urethane finish.
