I slipped up and forgot to order Rapid Remover. I have a trailer with a Harley decal I had to remove. It is only about 18 inches wide. Anyone have a grocery / hardware store item that will work in a pinch? I already tried lacquer thinner and xylene.

Will not the WD 40 prevent the application of new graphics as rain-X ?

I think there's a product called "Goof Off" that's for adhesive removal.

"Goo Gone" is OK and is as good as it gets, if you run out of Rapid Remover.
BUT, Rapid Remover is the best!!! Anything else is second best.

Dave Ya gotta admit...Goo Gone is a creative name....!! Right?
I invented a product a few years ago... named it "Magoo Be Gone"..it was a 2 part mix of 2 kinds of mushrooms...and was intended to put a certain pinstriper in the ground...fortunately it was never field tested....we did however get all the way to label design and commercials with the "Bearded One" posing for photos

Thanks for all the responses. In my small town I was lucky to find anything. I found Goof Off and it did work, not nearly as good as Rapid Remover as it took more scraping and wiping. The stuff evaporated too fast and did take a little paint off, but it wasn't a new trailer, had it's share of dings, and the lettering covered it.
Lesson learned, DO NOT run out of Rapid products.
BTW, Chuck's idea of WD40 worked, but it would have taken a couple hours to get all the glue off.
