Some of you may know my brother, Wayland Chapman, who is the owner of Belco Signs in Killeen, Texas. He and I hosted the first Letterhead meeting in Texas back in November, 1983.
Wayland has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer involving the lungs, bone, lymph system and liver. He began chemo several months ago on a 21 day interval. The treatment was changed to a stronger one after the second chemo, when no change was indicated. After the third treatment the interval was increased to one every 8 days but still no change. He has a treatment this afternoon at 2:00.
If you believe in the power of prayer, I ask you to call upon that power for him. If not, then please offer positive thoughts in his direction.
He is 74, seven years older than me. We lost our older brother to cancer six years ago.

“When He went ashore and saw a great throng of people, He had compassion (pity and deep sympathy) for them and cured their sick” (Matthew 14:14 TAB).
Our God is a compassionate and merciful God. Contrary to what some people think, He takes no delight in seeing His people sick. Rather, He wants to see His people living in good health and that is why He is always ready to heal those who are sick. In the Book of Jeremiah we read “For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord” (Jeremiah 30:17KJV).
Lord, today I acknowledge that you are the King of kings and the Lord of Lords. I know that you are still in the business of healing your people and that you are not only willing but you are able to heal Wayland of cancer and to make him whole. So today, I ask for your healing power and I shall certainly not forget to give you all the praise and all the glory. Thank you for hearing this prayer in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Thanks to all of you for your gracious thoughts. Wayland is not a computer person, so I'll print out these messages and give them to him. I'm sure he will appreciate so many thinking of him.
