If you haven't registered for Arcola, your time's running out. It's rude to just show up at the last minute, so go ahead and commit to the best time you'll ever have hanging out with your fellow walldogs. If it's not the most fun you've ever had, I'll personally reimburse your registration fee - heck, I'll even double it.
I have no empirical data to prove this theory, but the smaller the town, the better the meet. SIGN UP TODAY......

Thanks for posting this reminder Sonny. Maybe Cornbread would be so kind as to post some updates on all the latest info, registrants, mural teams, activites, etc for those of us who avoid Facebook like the plague and are still 'on the fence'. Thanks in advance.

Sonny, I was just thinking about Arcola today! I haven't seen any updates from Cornbread either, so maybe he can fill us in with the latest list of participants and project leaders. I didn't see Dan's name on the last list. Is he coming this year? Can you post the artwork again too?
Should be another exciting summer!
Sign-cerely, Steve

Cornbread already has enough registered Walldogs to make it happen - he's busy getting the walls ready and the paint mixed.
Anybody who's been to one, you already know. If we have to sell this to you, it's probably not your cup of tea. But to the rest of you: get off your butts and get registered.......

There's room for more in Arcola, but as any host will tell you, it helps to know how many people will show up. I heard some horror stories recently from past Walldog host(esses) and they have enough to deal with, so just kindly LET 'EM KNOW YOU'RE COMING.
This message is tangentially brought to you by my wife, Peggy, who is hosting a baby shower in two weeks and I am the unhappy recipient of her RSVP rants......

Sadly I won't be attending Arcola this year. We are building a new house here in Yarrow. That means minimal traveling until next year.

Seriously, if you have never been to a live Walldog (or Letterhead) meet, you should really try to get to one. I attended my first meet in 2002 and have been to 18 more since then. My summer would not be the same without hitting at least one!
Even if you mainly do non-painted signs, it is a great opportunity to meet incredibly talented, fun-loving people from all over the world! It is like a professional development event that you actually enjoy participating in!
Presently I am designing and building a new stereo system to use at Walldog events (All in hopes that Sonny will finally learn to dance properly). It will feature a 1000 watt surround sound system linked to a digital projector, so we can watch DVD concerts while we have our project-O-party after sundown!

I spoke with Cornbread yesterday and he will post a final registration list on April 16th. Otherwise, he's listing activities and mural thumbnails on the Walldogs Facebook page.

If you ARE planning on coming...PLEASE register earlier rather than later. It is SO hard to find food, lodging, supplies, whatever when you don't know how many are coming! Believe me, I know! Try to be considerate of your host and give them a way to plan for all this! Looking forward to seeing all you there!

Let's all wish Cornbread and crew the best on the logistical planning and final detail configurations of this here upcoming Wall Dog festival. Even when you've done all the best that you think you're ever going to do, there's always something that can go horse==== in a hurry. Let's all pitch in and make this years meet the best one ever!
Be safe, not sorry.

Wish I had the time, money and energy to be there in my old home state fer a few days. I have myself tied to a commitment with the tribes here in Oregon and they depend on my design for their projects. Have fun and hopes for all sunny days.

Don't worry, Sonny, you don't need a Partner nor a Wooden Chair to dance....;o)

Wish we could be there this summer, just running around taking pictures, but, other commitments will have to be taken care of.
I have a couple of minor health issues and we have to deal with Shirl's mother's estate and the sale of the house Shirl inherited.
I was planning on heading to Arcola and also driving to Newfoundland this summer, but things happen and plans have to be changed.
