Anyone have any preferred method for this? Customer has an existing oval sign (not by me), approximately 32" x 22", that was mounted on hanging chains on a single arm single post. Due to swinging damage from the wind, they asked if I could mount it between posts as I did on one of their neighbors signs I installed. The oval is 1/2" mdo. I just don't want to do some generic between post bracket on a nice existing sign. I thought of a scroll bracket above and below on each side or maybe a 1/8" black steel band around the edge with 2 black threaded rods per side welded in it to go thru the posts and nut on the outside of the post. Any ideas to share are greatly appreciated.

Replace the hanging chain with metal straps. It will still hang but not swing very easily. 1 inch thick and painted black will do the trick. But I do like Si's suggestion of two scroll brackets for the top and bottom.

And here I thought it was great when I saw that guys like Harding and Chapman would reply to a question of mine. Then I saw the replies. I should have known better. LOL Smart asses just like me. Is that a common trait amongst us sign folks? LOL

I would have a heavy gauge flat metal oval made, shaped to fit w. screw holes or tabs to hold the sign, with four horizontal, welded on 'arms, with flat metal pieces on the ends w. holes to bolt into the posts.
