Bit the bullet this weekend and put together our new website. My thoughts was to keep this easy to manoeuvre around even for customers that may not be very computer literate. It's probably bigger than I originally planned but wanted to show our full range of stuff. Your opinions would be much appreciated. Please go easy on me as I'm a little wary showing my wares to a gifted bunch like you lot

I like the idea of showing a lot of photos and not much to read.

Just an idea: I'd like to see the hyperlinks on the top right (shop fronts, vans etc) tidied up a bit in layout-maybe nested in a small table or something like that...so that they line up one, two or three deep, over each other.

Very good stuff. Two things, tho -- a lot of the pix are pretty hard to see, and the copy just below the home page logo needs a different typeface because the "e" and "c" are hard to distinguish from each other and it's a matter of URLs and such.

It was hard for me to objectively critique the website as far as website design goes because I was taken in by all the wonderful examples and wide variety of your work.

Kevin...this time when I went back I only looked at the opening page of the site...I felt the area that listed the categories of your work could be arranged a little better...everything is too evenly spaced and the same...somewhat cluttered and hard to separate...seems like that area could use a little different arrangement for easier reading and more quickly selecting...I also just didn't care for the font selection in that area as well...I really liked the site...understand I'm trying to be as critical as possible and this a personal opinion...others might be just fine with that area.

I added in a little section of old brushwork jobs from twenty years ago. Thought some older customers might find this section interesting. Some of the businesses featured have long since gone to the wall of course

When I went to your home page.....the first thing I saw was the box with the menu and the top of a picture. I had to scroll down to see the picture. Also agree with Rustys assesment about the box with menu...
I think a clear shot of some signwork when you go to a page would be better than scrolling down to see pictures. The box could be on the side of the page?
I am re-doing my site so I am picking out the good and bad parts.
Nice work on the signs. Very Irish.

Thanks Jackson. Good comments. I'm going to let the dust settle on it now for a few weeks. Will gather all suggestions between now and then and implement as many changes as possible. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and tend to make a change every time someone comments. That can become time consuming and counter productive. Another learning curve I'm enjoying though

Thanks for the suggestions Rusty and the rest of you. Very pleased with the way it's finished up. Will begin promoting it to the public tomorrow and see what that will bring
