You buy cheap you get just what you pay for, junk.
Junk fails, causes an accident, injures, maims or worst yet, kills someone, guess who they are going after.
Always sell the best, your name will be attached to it!

I don't know what your skills are, Jake, but I got real upset with the overpriced brackets out there, and made my own.
Cut some pieces of 1 and 1/2 inch angle about 8 inches long, buy some 3/8 inch steel rod and cut to 28 - 30 inches. Bend about 3 inches to a right angle and weld it to the angle. You can paint them whatever color you want.
I made some of these several years ago, and they are still up. This included going thru Katrina, with little damage. If they get bent, just straighten them out. The clamps can come from a hardware or heating supply, and you shouldn't have over about 10 bucks in each.
It'll take some work, but you can save a ton of money.

You had to ask, didn't you? I'll try...just give me awhile....LOLOL!
I'm gonna need some help. Should I try to sketch it out? How do I send it in? Do I need to take a photo of the sketch, and go the Photobucket thing? Simple is best.....like me.

OK, I finally was able to get a photo of one of the brackets. It's not too pretty anymore, but having been up since about a year before Katrina, there's no doubt it holds up.
The photo should pretty well show how it's put together. Diane, I hope this is what you're looking for too. The top and bottom brackets are the same.
Sorry it took so long to get back to you, but I thought I had a couple of extras in the shop, & couldn't find them. I'm still not moving around real well. Good luck.

No prob, Jake. You can make whatever modifications you want to make it more attractive; but bottom line....up on the pole, a good distance away, you're not going to see the difference between these and the high-dollar ones
