Thanks for the update, Sandy. I've just renewed! (didn't see any half-price offers there for us downunder, though)

I got an email with the offer. I thought it was sent out all the letterheads. I don't know if it was limited to existing subscribers or just random sign people. I hope that I haven't gotten everyone's hopes up on an bargain that wasn't a blanket email offer. I am not sure if a call to Signcraft would help. With my luck they will take back my subscription for causing a stir. I know how much everyone that I have spoken with enjoys the magazine and I didn't want anyone here to miss out. I am writing this posting, sitting in a corner on my stool with my dunce cap on...my bad.

Hey, Sandy--you sure know how to get the phone ringing here at SignCraft! Don't worry--we'll spare you the subscription cancellation.
Actually, that was an e-mail offer to folks who had signed up on our website, and we're glad to extend it to Letterville visitors. It was our error in the offer that we didn't explain that the rate outside the US would be half-off the overseas rate, so we've honored that rate for those who received it.
So here goes: Letterville visitors can subscribe to SignCraft for half-price for one year--just $19.50US for six great issues and access to the online sign price estimator. We'll even extend the deadline through October 15.

Great deal Tom, have been buying mine one at a time at my supplier for years. I think my subscription ran out 20 years ago...man I'm getting old!

1. My regrets for the photo, Raymond. Steve snapped that while visiting SignCraft at least 87 years ago. I just sent Barb an updated one, after 16 hours of Photoshop work.
2. No problem, Kevin--Letterville visitors outside the US can also get SC for half-price: $24.50US instead of usual $49 rate outside the US.
Tom, I sent you an email last night. I'm not sure if you had time to read it. You just cashed my check for a 3 year renewal. Since I didn't know about this offer when I renewed, is there any chance of a refund?? I still have every issue of Signcraft. We have been subscribers since the first issue. Thanks for a great magazine.

Tom, Any chance I could work for Signcraft in the subscription department, 6 months of the year(winters only). It gets pretty cold up here half the year. By the number of new subsciber and those who are re-upping, I might be able to work for just the commission, although because of the great deal you are giving maybe it would be commission divided by 2.
Be sure to call me if membership drops and I will see if I can stir it up one more time,
monk

1. I think we've got that squared away, Bob. Thanks!
2. Likewise, Elaine and Kevin--thank you. My grandfather Boyle's parents were from Cavan and Armaugh. I'm not sure about the O'Donnell side, though--I need to do some research.
3. I'll check with circulation, Monk, but you're right about that offer cutting into your commissions. Can't beat the winter weather here, though!

I just signed up yesterday. It was a pleasure to meet Tom and Tramp Warner at Orlando last April. Signcraft's deal I could not miss out on.I have every issue since #1, but not the issue with the different cover.. Was it a dot or something.

Since we are on the subject of SignCraft I thought I would add a few words from an old man and my memories of that fine magazine.
Back when the only journal we had was Signs of the Times and they covered mainly electric work and billboards, there was a well know signman named Chester Cunningham. He was a Letterhead before there were Letterheads.
Chet called me one day and said that there were some sign guys who owned a shop down in Florida and they were trying to get a magazine together just for us brush pushers. Quite frankly, he said that he didn't believe that it would work, but asked if I could send them some photos and maybe write an article or two for them.
As they say...the rest is history.
My relationship with the McIltrots and SignCraft has extended to over thirty years now and is one of the best things that has ever happened to me personally and to our profession. Those guys (and gals) are still just humble folks that love our craft...and it shows in every issue.

When I renewed last week, I paid the 3 years option & asked that it start mid last year, continuing on from when our subscription lapsed.
I don't know if the discount applied as I paid up after Sandy mentioned it, but before Tom said 'yes' to more distant subscribers.
Anyhow the package of back-issues arrived today-thank you very much for the unexpectedly speedy service...not going to get much else done now- we're in for a long lunchbreak!!!
