Just finished the hottest gig I've ever had - we painted Goodyear logos on the exterior of 6 autoclave ovens at the retread plant in Bremen Ga. The regulars just call it the Tar Factry. The temp in the building was at least 120 degrees and we worked in the back corner where the ovens were. The paint dried almost immediately and we had to change cups every 10 minutes. The entire plant had that stale air/rubber smell like when you let air out of your tire. Not the most pleasant environment, but at least we charged accordingly......

yeah, but how 'bout those stylish factry-issued safety glasses and ear plugs? Forgot to mention that in addition to hot and stinky, it was also dusty and loud. Sure glad we didn't have to do the hard-hat thing too.......

I bet is smelled kinda like the tire section at Sam's Club. I swear that smell makes me itchy. Still, I would have liked to been there painting with you, Sonny. For some reason I enjoy jobs like that, all but the ear plugs and safety glasses. Love....Jill

So far the heat index hasn't hit 120 F in southwest Georgia....just got to 107 F last week. Is that a stencil I see on the floor? That's too "HOT" for me!!
