Hell in Norway or Michigan? Nah..... not nearly hot enough. I've been to the real 'Hell' a couple times and ironically, it's located right in the middle of 'Paradise'!!!

Hawkes Bay Tourism's Internet site says that Porangahau in New Zealand's South Island, "boasts the longest place name in the world: Tetaumatawhakatangihangakoauaotamateaurehaeaturipukapihimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuaakitanarahu, officially entered in the Guinness Book of Records." That stretches the name to 92 letters.
How would you like to be a signwriter in this town!!!! Take you hours to letter the address!

How about Tightwad, Missouri or Peculiar, MO or Possum Trot, Mo. Back 25 years ago I had a African American man who worked for me at the Chevy store, named Paul. He was a great guy in every way and would handle tricky projects for me. I needed him to run down and help get a car started for a customer who was trading in her old car with a dead battery. I gave him the address and he looked at the name of the town, White City, Kansas. I assured him all would be fine, but he balked a bit. Sure enough, he went down there with another Caucasian guy who worked for us, but they were scared silly. They got the car back, but he was always a bit careful whenever I gave him additional pick up assignemnts.
It is all in a name.
