http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uUu-SCz1OY I don't know if this link will work. I thought I'd see if Youtube had vinyl application videos so I could have a customer out of state see how to apply vinyl himself. I saw this one where this guy is using a level to position vinyl on a car window. I guess maybe he parked the car so its perfectly level so he doesn't have to bother with measuring up from the window edge? Reminds me of a helper I once had. Unbelievable.

Every car is so different, I don't think a level would work on most of them. I think you have to have a happy medium between the lettering being level and following the lines of the car. I start by measuring and then adjust visually until it just "looks" right.
I think I've seen a few cars around here where that method was used though.

Well, I guess I'm out of a job. I encoursge people to use these techniques. Use a level, and a credit card. Congratulations, your lettering should last till you next car wash. Now where's that video on "Doing your Own Botox!

I am level headed but never used a level on a vehicle, stabilo and ruler yes but never a level. Eying the center and using a level seems dumb to me when a ruler and a stabilo does it all. I guess when your last gig was a counter person at DQ, becoming a graphic artist comes naturally.
